Purpose
Meetings to form the African American Black Club began in October of 2003. Group discussions during these meetings detailed the visions, values and goals of our community, health, youth, and professional career. Within six months and in celebration of Black History Month, our club became official and recognized by Argonne National Laboratory.
The purpose of the African American/Black Club is to:
Promote cross cultural awareness and communication
Promote fellowship
Encourage networking and resource sharing among members
Promote opulence and diversity of the African American/Black studies and cultures
Network as professionals and coworkers
Share ideas and resources that benefit the African American/Black community and all employees at Argonne National Laboratory
