In Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Hispanic Latino Club Presents
Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater
Thursday, October 9 at noon, in Building 362 Auditorium
The Ensemble is chartered to share the rich traditions of the dance, music, literature, and culture of Spain in the classical, folkloric and Flamenco styles, with all communities, and to be a center which encourages new artistic creativity within the framework of the Ibero-Hispanic experience. The company, founded in 1976 by artistic director Dame Libby Komaiko, is comprised of forty dancers, singers, and musicians representing a mosaic of cultures from around the world.
Appetizers will be served before the event. All are welcome. |

Hispanic Latino Club and Argonne Diversity Office to host social gathering Thursday, July 17, in Building 212, Room A157, starting at noon.
Giselle Sandí, HLC president, will deliver an informative talk about Costa Rica , emphasizing the natural beauty of the country.
Argentinean empanadas (filled with beef, chicken, or vegetables), desserts, and drinks will be served for $7 a person. Payment will be collected at the start of the event. An activity called the “Global Experience” is also planned, where attendees can identify the places they call home. Everyone is welcome. ANL and DOE Employees recognized as Latino role models
Several ANL and DOE employees were recently recognized as role models among the Latino community.
Orlando Auciello, Frank Gines, Michael Kaminski, and Giselle Sandi-Tapia were recently recognized as Latino role models by “Get Energized”, a project sponsored by the US Department of Energy.
