About Toastmasters

One of the most important skills for success in life is the ability to communicate effectively. A Toastmasters club provides the tools that enable people to improve their communication skills. In a Toastmasters club, you learn by doing: by actually speaking to groups.

The mission of the club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication skills that will in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.

How Toastmasters can help you...

Do butterflies attack your stomach whenever you are asked to speak before a group?

Can you confidently express your thoughts and ideas?

Whether you are speaking to one or one thousand, a Toastmasters club can help you speak clearly and confidently.

At home or on the job, Toastmasters can provide you with the confidence you need to get ahead.

By participating actively in a Toastmasters club, you will learn to:

  • Organize your thoughts and present them clearly and confidently
  • Listen to others carefully and critically
  • Think and react quickly
  • Lead, motivate, and persuade others

The Argonne Toastmasters Club meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month, 12:00 noon -1:00 p.m. in Bldg. 201, conference room 190. We welcome you to attend any of our meetings.
